New Art by Frank Wieditz
on Exhibit at Willard Art & Frame through February 1
As a minimalist, Frank Wieditz plays with composition and color, reducing objects to their most basic forms while still representing dimensional concepts. His mathematical background and German heritage have had a strong influence on his artistic style. This influence can currently be seen in his most recent landscape and cloud series.
Frank Wieditz was born in Bamberg, Germany in 1944. He spent his childhood in Berlin, immigrating to the United States in the mid 1950s. Eventually moving to Seattle, he attended the University of Washington where he received his BFA in 1969 and BS and MFA in 1972. Wieditz's work has been shown in the Henry Gallery and Dendroica Gallery, as well as regional and local juried shows.
