Class: Still-Life Drawing with Stacey Almgren
Let popular local teaching artist Stacey Almgren help you learn to see differently and gain skills quickly while developing your line, form and shading techniques. In this class you focus on studying still life, using items such as fruits, pine cones and vases. You work on shading as well as creating depth and layers. All levels welcome!
Stacey Almgren graduated from Purdue University with a BA degree in Visual Arts. She started her professional career as a graphic designer/illustrator in Aspen, Colorado. Since then, she has owned her own business for over fifteen years, specializing in graphic design and illustration. She has expanded her business to include paintings and commissioned artwork. She has exhibited her artwork in the US, as well as Singapore and New Zealand. She is a board member of the Woodinville Arts Alliance and has exhibited locally. She was recently commissioned by the city of Woodinville to paint a mural along the Sammamish River Trail. She is an art instructor at Tsuga Fine Art & Framing and Bellevue College.
Fee: $105 (tuition includes a pencil pack)
Class size: A limit of 12 students ensures you individual attention.
4-week session: Mondays, 10:30am–12:30pm, February 24 – March 16
Supplies: Please bring your sketch pad (9"x12" recommended). Sketch pads will be available for purchase for $7.
