My name is Christopher Griffin, and I am a cartoonist and illustrator. I work in pen and ink, watercolor, gouache and oil paint. I have also worked in silk screen printing, relief printing, airbrushing and sculpture.
I have been published in the San Diego coffeehouse newspapers North Park News and The Espresso, The Casco Bay Weekly in Portland, Maine and in Mortimer Megapress of Tacoma Washington and have designed and illustrated ads which ran in Seattle's free weekly The Stranger.
I designed the logo for The Neptune Music Company in Seattle’s University District and have created spot illustrations as well as covers for band CDs and posters for live music shows and other events. In the 1990s I was employed at Distributel, a silk screen studio located in the Kearny Mesa suburb of San Diego, designing custom logos for promotional products and sportswear and at Wherehouse Records as an airbrush and 3D artist, creating oversized promotional displays promoting new record company releases. I have also worked as a custom picture framer, freelance comic book inker and sign painter.
